Prayer Request: Answered
Wednesday after band, Dd put her alto sax, in it's case, in the area where all the kids put their instruments when they have another class after band, and then after choir, when it was time to go, her sax and case were gone.
It is Friday, and still no one has come forward to return the case. This morning the people in charge of band, the March's, sent out an email asking for everyone to check their sax cases to make sure they have the right one.
At this point all I can do is pray, but then I thought of you all---and how a few prayers from New Zealand and Indiana could only help, and decided to post this here rather than emailing. Who knows, maybe someone in Europe might see this and pray along with us. Finding and buying a new saxophone would be expensive; plus the loss my trust in the homeschooling people in this area---that is something I hope won't be diminished. I'm leaning on the Lord, and know He can see us through this, no matter what the outcome may be. Praying for my faith to stay true. I hope someone didn't steal a child's new instrument, but hoping (praying) it was just an oversight.
Thank you for your prayers, friends!
Praise the Lord!
After eleven days, the family that had accidentally took Dd's sax returned home from their Spring Break vacation and found they had an extra sax in their house!
I had been so upset on Sunday morning that I really felt drawn to try-out the Women's Sunday School group, and shared our missing sax story with them. I literally don't have the words to explain just how loving, kind, and compassionate this small group of women were to me. Afterwards, I decided that God must have needed to push me (losing sax and getting so upset) in order for me to stop missing this blessing. I think the Lord has so many potential blessings out there for us, if only we would step out of our comfort zones. After realizing the reason behind the sax being gone, I was okay with it, not happy, but accepting....then the email came from our band teacher! I just couldn't believe it!!! I'm still shaking my head over it!
Praise the Lord! He had a plan!

Praying over this Tracy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chelle. I think tomorrow we will have to go rent a sax until her's comes back.... The band people did put out an email to the other band people, letting them know 'someone is missing their sax,' so hopefully someone will check their case and notice they have TWO cases, instead of one! The band people didn't find an extra case after our classes, so it isn't that someone picked up the wrong case (like I was hoping). Either someone picked up the case thinking they were picking up their sisters/brothers/ or child's case, not knowing the kid had already gotten their case OR .......that awful stealing scenario. Thanks for the prayers! Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteHoping you hear some (good) news soon!!
