July 30--Aug 3rd 2012

 This is Sophie's "what'd I do??" face.

It is always fun (for me) to see what was on our dry-erase boards from the past weeks...

July 30, 2012  Dd got new markers and has been having a blast making new things with them!  I enjoy this beach scene.  She has a story to go with it.  I am hoping she will write it up sometime soon!

This week Dd seems to have grown up a lot.  She has really been into discussing the books she has been reading....giving LOTS of details and descriptions.  I've always asked about her books and she has always given short little comments; and then this week she has switched the ON button to descriptions!  I am not sure I wanted all that detail!!!  Becareful what you ask for!  She also really EXCELLED at her chores this week.  She went above and beyond on her chores.  I am really amazed at that too.  I am not sure what happened this week; it is like she aged a whole year on us in a blink.  I'm not sure I like it; even if she did do wonders on her chores!!

I had promised her a fun gift while we were driving to the hospital.  I knew she would NOT want needles and all that--so ahead of time, during the drive, we talked about it.  I told her if she did a good job and didn't fuss she could pick out a nice fun toy or something at Wal Mart.  So, on Friday we went to Walmart and she picked a Face Painting Kit!!! Oh MY!!!  You would not believe all the face, leg, arm, calf, ankle painting that has been going on!!!  She has had a blast with that kit!!! And she did totally great getting the IV's at the hospital--which got her back to healthy--thank the Lord!
