with the "L" Family

Heather's eldest, R, was babysitting four little girls while we were visiting them.  She had the idea to meet us at the IMA for a picnic and visit to the grounds.

All five "L" kids were able to come!

There was a very fun sculpture exhibit at the park--here you can see the red plastic snail sculpture above.

In this field, there was around a dozen variously colored snails.

These are plastic wolves

The Meerkats were so cute!  I really liked them a lot!

Heather and I both love taking photo's---these are some beautiful Surprise Lillies that we both admired.

Plastic frogs! and real Lilly pads

My favorite highlight was seeing the WRENS!  They had babies in their nest boxes--there were two full nest boxes.  The second highlight was this wonderful tree (see below).

I was standing under the umbrella from the tree canopy as I took these photo's.  It was a beautiful tree; reminded me of some I saw like this in Hyde Park in London.

Andrew really helped his sister out a lot by caring for the youngest child she was babysitting.  The four girls were a lot of fun to our already big group.

We had SUCH a lovely time!!!

With the "L" Family

Dd and I spent a week in Indiana with our good friends, the "L" family that we met through our homeschooling group back in around 2008.  It is lovely when you meet a family that fits into your heart as if they had always been there.  This was the second summer they invited us to visit with them at their house and tag along to the Indiana State Fair.  We were SO happy to receive the invitation and had such a great time catching up with them!!!

I think all five "L" kids were able to join us on our first hike at Eagle Creek this summer.  They are a very busy group, so this was a special night!

See the Heron?

I just love how these kids enjoy being together and playing and having fun!

At the end of our hike we came across quite a few trees with roosting Commorants and white Egrets, settled in for the night.

The white spots are the white Egrets roosted up in the trees.

It was a beautiful hike with wonderful company!
Blessing.
