Ack! I just deleted my ideas from last week. I hadn't got to include them in my class and cut and was going to paste them to this week....oh golly. I am having a rough week!!
I also came on to write down another idea I had for this upcoming week's Nature in Art class--
it is on Spirals/Fibonacci. I am having or should I say-- I have asked the students to bring in:
a)a still life for them to draw from, and b) an example of a spiral found in nature. We will do a spiral on graph paper, and that probably won't take very long. Then they can draw from their still life's more and from the spirals they bring in. I also thought this might be a good class to introduce charcoals for them to try out and have fun with. I just wanted to write that down so I wouldn't forget it.
I also need to email the parents Sunday, to remind the students that I have asked them to bring in things for this class. I did ask the students to bring in a bug to draw from for the last class---and one student did; but I was really hoping more kids would have had a bug. I even brought in a bug that had been in one of my window sills since the fall! Shh!! It is a weird window that is in my stairwell, and I don't dust it regularly (obviously), so I knew where to look! Oh well.
