SL Core G Middle Ages Week 25
April 10-15, 2016
BiblioPlan Week 13
Francis of Assisi Bernard of Clairvaux, Anselm

Last week's opening picture was SNOW, then a few days later we rushed up to heat!  It only lasted for two days, but we enjoyed every minute of it!  We did all we could outside.  Can you see the pet taxi on the right of Dd?  Dd decided pitiful kitty Agnes needed to share in the fresh air!

Dd's sax has been returned!

Dd has enjoyed having two sax's this past week!  We will return the rented one soon.  It was interesting for her to compare the two, now that she has a bit of experience.

Hello Friends!

Things are still a bit crazy here--we had Dd's birthday, and we have had some celebrating last week, this week, and the next week!  I'm not sure spreading it out was a good idea---live and learn!
Picnic at Kirk Park

It was SO cold! and the wind cut right through...but, we still had a wonderful time.

Dd received some LOTR figures, and she took them along with us and took action pictures of the figures about our goings on...she had such fun setting up each picture.

Dh took a day off work and we all went to Kirk Park, on Lake Michigan together as a family to celebrate Dd's birthday!  It was a great day! We went all day!

Since we didn't get as much done as I wanted, and Dh had to work on Saturday, so we fit in a bit of our left-overs then.

Music:
Lots of Music happening!  Sax, piano, and trying out the violin some.  On Dd's birthday, she asked to go to a music store and try some string instruments---she got to try the cello, base, and a half-base, I think!?  The sales person spent about 40 minutes with us, and shared a lot of helpful information.  Dd had a great time trying them all out--she would love to get a cello and take lessons for that.  But, they sure are expensive!
Dd spent about 4 hours on the sax, about 2 hours on the piano, and about 1 hour on the violin.  It was a good music week.

Chicken Tractor #2 and Getting Outside!

Chicken Tractor #2 and Getting Outside!

This time it was my turn to build a Chicken Tractor with Dh.  Most nights, after a l-o-n-g day at work, we would get in an hour or two of puttering in the woodshop making a revised Chicken Tractor.

I know it looks like my husband is doing all the work, but that is only because I stop working to take a few pictures!  I did just as much cutting on the table saw, circular saw, and miter saw as he did!  He just loves having his picture taken! (ha! joke)

Sophie is a big fan of the chickens...almost TOO interested!  She doesn't want to eat them, just lick them...a little!

Here the girls are....happily in the grass!

The chicks are all doing really well.  Yesterday I had 10 in the garage, and 10 outside in the tractor, so they could spread out some.  I'm still making sprouts for them, to add to the greens (grass, spinach, dandylions...) I've been feeding them.  They are acting more like chickens, and still seem to grow more each day!
