Dh and Dd worked together on this soldering kit, and had a lot of fun with it.  They used a circuit board to attach resistors and capacitors and LED lights to create a siren and flashing lights--with volume control.  Dh read from the manual, and Dd did all the work.  We bought our kit from Amazon:
