Sonlight Core G Week 3"B" Oct. 27-31, 2014

Sonlight Core G
Week 3"B"
Oct. 27-31, 2014

This was a total WORK WEEK!  (Just a reminder, we are in the process of selling our house in Indiana since Dh has taken a new job in Michigan.  We are living in a teeny, tiny apartment until our house sells.  Once our house has sold, we can find our new home here in Michigan (and move out of the small apartment we are currently residing in).

A few pictures of "before" and "after" of our week's work:

This picture is a half-way done photo, as the dark blue paint has already been covered over; actually 3 of the 4 walls are already done!

Friday the 24th, we drove to Indiana.  The contract with our first realtor expired (3 month contract), and we researched some realtor candidates to meet with on Saturday the 25th.  Before the candidates arrived we had already gone to Lowe's and bought paint.  Both realtor's we emailed were very quick to insist we paint our interior walls (we had already painted our fence) a neutral color.  We had to remove all the colored walls---even though WE thought the colors we had chosen were terrific!!! Ha!  After painting, we met with the two realtors and thus began our thought process on how to decide!  It took quite a few days, but we picked Chris from Talk to Tucker.  Then we went back to Lowe's and bought the color he said "sells houses" (Sherwin Williams, 'soft tan' #6141).  Dh took Monday off from work so we could both work together a little.  But, Monday night we had to go back to MI.  Tuesday, I packed our dog, our daughter, and our stuff and returned back to Indiana (without Dh-hubby).  You might ask yourself why I didn't drive my car down on Friday, so I wouldn't have to go back and forth four times in one week---but, I had a migraine on Friday and there was no way I would be able to drive.  Then after I arrived back in Indiana on Tuesday, I got another migraine!!!  Yup, life is full of pain, what can I do?!

Wed., Thur., Fri., and part of Sat. I painted--a LOT....like from 10 AM to 9:15 PM each day!  I don't even remember each day, all I did was paint, paint, paint!  So many rooms (and moldings) to paint and we had scheduled the new realtor to come back on Sat. Nov. 1st to take new pictures of our house, so I had to really focus and HURRY!

Friday night (Oct. 31st), Dh returned to be with us, after his week at his job.  Then we worked together on Sat.  His parents drove up to see us, and did help clean up the painting mess, preparing for the picture taking.  When the realtor was due to arrive, they took Dd to Wal Mart and bought her a few things for fun and entertainment.

Our highlight this week was that we were invited to the "L" family's house on Thursday.  We had such an incredible time.  I was so tired, I think I melded to the chair!  But, Heather made us the best dinner!!!!  Awesome!  Then we had a few lovely cups of tea and chatted for a few hours.  I am so thankful to have such good friends!  I thank the Lord for the L family, and how they have helped us through these difficult days!  And I know she won't be reading this---so I am not just saying that! But, mean it from my heart!

Anyway----here are the things we did this week (not much going on regarding our Sonlight material).

Audio's:
1) Blood of Olympus (the new) Rick Riordan book!  We finished up the last of the 12 discs to complete this book.   Then I bought Dd the book (a reward for her help with the house-painting and mowing) so she could re-read the parts she wanted.

2)The Burning Bridge by John Flanagan--some, but we focused on the Blood of Olympus more.

Add-in:
She has been "writing songs"...not sure what that means, and she hasn't shared it yet!

I would show pictures, but the realtor forgot his memory stick in his camera, and so I let him take mine...and haven't gotten it back from him yet (he said he would mail it).

Psalm 148

Praise the Lord.[a]
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
    praise him in the heights above.
Praise him, all his angels;
    praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
Praise him, sun and moon;
    praise him, all you shining stars.
Praise him, you highest heavens
    and you waters above the skies.
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for at his command they were created,
and he established them for ever and ever—
    he issued a decree that will never pass away.
Praise the Lord from the earth,
    you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
    stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and all hills,
    fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals and all cattle,
    small creatures and flying birds,
11 kings of the earth and all nations,
    you princes and all rulers on earth,
12 young men and women,
    old men and children.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for his name alone is exalted;
    his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
14 And he has raised up for his people a horn,[b]
    the praise of all his faithful servants,
    of Israel, the people close to his heart.
Praise the Lord.
