It is still frozen here!  And this photo, taken by Dd, was taken on Friday when it got all the way up to 50 degrees!!!  See it melting!  Yay!  Friday we sat outside and heard groups of Sandhill Cranes flying over us ALL DAY!  I looked up what groups of Sandhill Cranes are technically called---a "siege"!




Here is Sophie--outside on Friday with us.  We spent Friday outside doing our lessons in the fresh air.

We only had a few things to do on the "Week 18" IG, so I added those items to the "Week 19" list and we did both this week.  I wasn't counting on my migraine continuing on from last week; but with lots more pain, from last week.  I might have made this a Science or Art week or something else if I had known ahead of time; but I didn't get the memo ahead of time.  Thursday and Friday were my worst days when the pain won and I had to go back to bed in the afternoon.  But, Friday was such a beautiful day!  Dd and I spent at least 4 hours in our backyard!  She played soccer while I read our Read Aloud's in my hammock.  

Our activities for this week were--Monday we took advantage of the COLD weather and tried some craft I saw--you fill up balloons with food coloring, then add water, then shake, and put outside to freeze.






These were the insides of frozen balloons.  They didn't all freeze all the way through; and you can see some are hollow.  It just depended on where we placed them.  We put them in three different places around our yard.


Tuesday was Swim & Gym.


This was a game of Kickball; here Dd is coming in to make a "run".  After this game they did their swimming lessons.  I was kind enough not to take any photo's of that!

Wednesday was our visit to the LeFebvre's house!  I got to drink tea and chat with my friend.  Dd got to play with the boys!  She brought the swords she made from yard sticks and cardboard. They got to sword fight, they played outside, and who know's what else!  They are a lot of fun.  

Thursday was our co-op, and Dd built a 'rover' in her "Mission to Mars" class. 

 She also had Gym and Drama class.  Afterwards we went to Arbuckle Park with our ice cream cones.  Then we went to the library.  My brain wasn't working much that with my head hurting; but Dd got a few things done.
Dd made these two necklaces this week.  She has made quite a few; but I don't usually remember to take a photo of them.
Friday we spent outside in our yard---and did our lessons until my migraine got bad and I had to go to bed.  I gave her instructions on what to do without me.

DVD:

Gandhi

It took us 4-5 viewings to watch this really long movie; it even has an "Intermission"; but well worth it.  This movie has LOTS of violence--be warned!  We had to fast forward a LOT.  This is not a movie for young children, or sensitive people of any age.  But, if you are alright with fast forwarding through the violence you really do see an excellent movie that teaches a lot about India.
