We are on a LOW (left-overs week). It must seem like I am always saying that; b/c we do one week IG and one week LOW. We are actually progressing in the areas we needed extra time with-math, science, LA, spelling. We've been reading books from our own library (at home) on Jamestown and Plymouth this week.
So far we have read this week:
Roanoke: The Lost Colony--An Unsolved Mystery from History by Heidi E. Y. Stemple,
Jane Yolen and Roger Roth
John Smith Escapes Again! - Hardcover (Oct. 10, 2006) by
Rosalyn Schanzer (Nat'l Geo)
If You Were At The First Thanksgiving - Paperback (Nov. 1, 2001) by
Anne Kamma and Bert Dodson
Giving Thanks: The 1621 Harvest Feast by
Kate Waters and Russ Kendall
American Documents: The Mayflower Compact - Hardcover (Oct. 10, 2006) by

The John Smith Escapes Again (National Geographic) book was really fantastic! I recommend this one very much. It was a fun, exciting, interesting, and informative read. I had no idea how interesting John was and how dramatic his life events were; all I knew about was his time with Pocahontas.
Times Tables the Fun Way by Judy Liautaud and Dave Rodriguez
Dd got a "Young Scientist Series" science kit set for Christmas. We had already done the owl pellet; and this week we are doing EGG experiments and shrimp brine too. We really had a lot of fun yesterday with the egg experiments!
We are all done with our co-ops and back to nothing on our schedule. It is kind of nice to have a break. Last week on Tuesday at dd last Aqua Athlete's class I started getting sharp stabs in my left ear; and here it is a week later and I am just now getting by without so much ibuprofen! I really don't like ear infections; and it seems April is the month I always get them. But, I am back to my nasal spray and that should clear it all up eventually.
