I don't use my dryer; except on rare occassions to save money and to save electricity. One of the favorite questions I've gotten from my Dd's friends is: "Do you even OWN a dryer???" Yes, we do--but this is how we dry our stuff----
Here is our little set-up:

We bought an umbrella stand holder--it's the round piece on the bottom- to put the dryer rack inside instead of outside, like how it is usually used. |

It quickly and easily comes down and can be put in a corner, out of your way. |

We usually put on our ceiling fan, and the fan by the window on chilly days when we need a little help getting things dry. |
