Indiana State Fair August 3, 2018

Indiana State Fair August 3, 2018
With the "L" Family

This summer, Dd and I were invited down Indiana to have a visit with our friends, the "L" family and to go to the Indiana State Fair!  I've posted a few pictures of my favorite things about the fair to share and for me to remember.

The Pioneer Village area is my favorite section.

It is always fun seeing what the carvers are working on each year.

This man is carving this piece of wood into the shape of a ROOSTER!

I hope I live long enough to get a chance to try my hand at making these pieces of art out of wool.  I love seeing this each year.

For the first time since I've gone to the fair they actually had a real Big Top with an incredible CIRCUS.  It was so great I stopped taking pictures to just soak it all in!

Just look at the expressions on the kids faces!

The always informative DNR building

The Indiana Beekeepers Association

The 4H Building with all the people's produce competing for the blue ribbon

Can you believe those cabbage heads?!?!!!!

Sunflower heads that are enormous

Even though Dh couldn't come with us, Dd got a Lemon Shake-Up like he would have!

I treated myself to my annual Elephant Ear...oh my!

We saw LOTS of critters---these llama's are the token photo of the endless animals we saw...though it wasn't a chicken day sadly.

Heather showed me a little store full of wool products and fun merchandise that we had never seen before!  We must have walked by this store endless times over the years and never noticed it.  So cute, SO expensive!

Of course, sharing these memories with my daughter is what it is all about---

and sharing it with the "L" family, good friends are such a blessing!!!
