| Spring Lake High School--this parade had a lot of bands. My camera ran out of battery before Dd's band even got to us! |

| Grand Haven is on Lake Michigan, so lots of boats and water vessels. |

| The population of western Michigan has a LOT of Dutch immigrants--- I have no idea why, but that's the fact! |

We have 1 parade a year in our town.... the Christmas Parade, that's it, and it's never very exciting.... well, unless your 4yrs old or younger ;-p
ReplyDelete(We do have LOTS of heritage/vintage/craft themed days during the year, which are so interesting and fun to attend.)
You might find some answers to the Dutch Heritage by visiting Lynn Austin's Blog & reading her research on the book Waves Of Mercy, which is, btw, set in Michigan about Dutch immigrants! ;) I finished that one on Wednesday. I just love her books. :)
