Week 10 E
April 27-May 1st, 2015
Monday and Tuesday we went to the Meijer Sculpture Garden--this week we went to see the Atlas Moth, the butterflies, and the flowers!
A week unlike the rest! Last Sunday we went to see some houses with our realtor, and one was particularly perfect for us, and so we asked to go back on Tuesday night; after Dh got off work, to see if it was still the 'right' one. After looking at the house, our realtor "Scott" invited us out to dinner at a local restaurant and we discussed what our bid would be. We discussed and finally agreed on an amount, then handed it over to the Lord. Then on Wednesday evening we heard back from Scott that our bid was accepted. Such a change from the back and forth bidding that went on with our house! We have to wait until the end of June to move in, but that is okay since the family that wants to buy our house can't do it until July.
This week an inspector will go look at the "Spruce" house and we will meet the inspector there to see what the results are for the house. After the inspection we can move on to the next step...
I was sick this week, and ended up having to give in and go to the doctor. My abilities to encourage Dd to excel in her homework were very low. The antibiotics are helping and I am feeling better.
This week I tried an experiment. This week I gave Dd her books and her BLANK schedule for the week, and told her to go ahead and read all that she wanted to of her books, instead of the normal routine where I tell her exactly how many pages to read of each book. I was curious to see if she would accomplish more, or less, of her academics.....well, come to find out I am not holding her back after all, and she does need me to fill out her schedule for progress! At least I know for sure now and won't doubt my process.
Friday, Dh took half the day off work as his work had completed on one major project and he could. We all drove down to our house in Indiana for the weekend.
Dh mowed our yard and planted our garden: Swiss Chard, Lettuce, Turnips, and Mammoth Sunflowers.

Dd and I spent Saturday with the "L" family. She went over early to watch Andrew play in his soccer game while Dh and I bought flowers at Lowe's for our front yard.
After our shopping I went to spend the rest of the afternoon with Heather. Heather and I chatted for a while, had a tea to commemorate the Princess' birth in London, and then mulched her flowers.

We went to the library twice, and had quite a few little nature hikes on the trail around our apartment complex.

Chelle,
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much for the birthday wishes!!! So kind of you to remember! I know your birthday must be right around here somewhere--though I don't know exactly which day! Sending you a big hug for your birthday celebration too!!!! Wish it was a real cake though!!! Perhaps it would be a better idea if my Dd made it for you instead of me! Sending you love and hugs back, with thanks and appreciation to you!
