November 18, 2014 SNOW!

November 18, 2014 SNOW!

We went for a snow hike yesterday, and today!  Lots and Lots of snow---and it still continues to come down.

We had a RED BELLIED WOODPECKER at our feeders today! This picture has him on the tree b/c he kept landing on the side of the feeder that I couldn't see him, so I could only manage this shot.  But, he actually would fly onto our feeder and get sunflower seeds!!!  The Downy Woodpeckers were also coming to our feeders--we never had that happen at the farm in southern Indiana.  So, I was really surprised.

We saw 7 or 8 Cardinal pairs at our feeders...at once!
