Children's Museum - May 10, 2012

Children's Museum:

We are hitting the CM again before the p.s. kids take it over for the summer!

Can you see the momma and baby dinosaur coming into the Children's Museum building?

Today's Science Lab project was "Trait Trinkets" We made bracelets color based on our physical traits.  Dd and I both matched up perfectly.  We looked at Dominant and Recessive traits like "hitchhikers thumb", dimples, curly or flat hair, chin cliff, etc.  Fun project!

These are the beads to make our bracelets

Here is Dd's bracelet

This is an example of a glove with seeds in it; like the one we did last week--but this one is farther along than ours is.

The Power of Children: Making a Difference exhibit.  I don't think I've shown any pictures of this particular part of the CM.

This fantastic exhibit focuses on three different children.  Ryan White lived in Indiana; so his whole bedroom is included in his area.  Next time I will try to get more pictures on Ryan and Ruby.  We saw 2 wonderful live performances on Ruby and Anne by actors during our visit.
