Today we start Core 3. My dd is excited to learn American History; and to start some new readers. She has been reading some chapter books of "The Young Indiana Jones" series. It is so funny to see what books she chooses on her own. I don't have much to add yet; but wanted to take advantage of dd still being asleep to check-in. We saw The Voyage of the Dawn Treader a few days ago. It was pretty good. We didn't go to the 3D version; just the regular movie screen.
Dd got some cool Christmas gifts that she is loving. It would be interesting if anyone wanted to share the gifts that their dc loved the most- especially if they are educational. For example, dd got:
Snap Circuits SC-300 by Elenco Electronics Inc and she and Dh have been really enjoying all the various experiments together. It is easy and fun and educational. Anyone else have a successful/educational gift that was a hit?
