Another idea that I do is:"Left-Overs Weeks". I take a week off the IG and do bible/math and .........whatever I want to focus on (usually science). I will still do our basics and take a whole week to focus on something different. Then I go back to the IG the next week. In Core K, 1, and 2 I would have a "left-over week" about once a month. But for Core 3 I plan on having a lot more breaks to focus more on the areas that we are behind in. We love history and our IG material more than math and other extra's and we need to get caught up on.
