Merry Christmas Ladies! I should be trying to multi-quote but I woke up with a headache. We have been enjoying this week off. I had been wanting to make some paper crafts; and dd surprised me by wanting to do it with me. We have made about 25 paper cranes and some paper snowflakes. Each evening dd and her Pappa have been baking cookies. He gives cookies to his co-workers as their Christmas gift. He makes about 8 different types of cookies/fudge.

Dd finished Llama in the Family on Monday. We are still reading "Mary Slessor" as our nightly family reading book. I made a comment about how few pages dh was reading and he took the hint and has started to read a bit more each night. He is not an 'night owl' and he starts slurring his words. Bless his heart, he really tries!

I am reading a bunch of parenting books. I have read them over and over. It amazes me how much I drop as the months/years go by. But, I am looking forward to getting back to my Jane Austen series. I'd never read her books before. We just have rabbit ears as our t.v. reception, so we don't have many channels to watch. Last year I saw PBS' series "Emma" and loved it so much I got our library to order that version. So, I decided to read it; and you guessed it--it was even better than the movie. Since we are totally snowed in I ordered some movies from our library and watched a few of the recent J.A. movies. And I threw in "Little Dorrit" by Charles Dickens. Dd is enjoying along with me. It is a nice winter diversion.

I am trying to figure out how and where to organize my core 3 books. I wish the IG had a good time line for me to use, so I could see where my supplemental books fit in. I went a little crazy getting books to add in to this core. Anyone have any ideas for how to prepare before hand? I have always just jumped in with no pre-prep.
