Day Four Spruce

Day Four Spruce

Before I show you all what we did today; here is what the rooms that we finished yesterday looked like today.  I didn't get a photo of the rooms after they got the whole floor covered.  It still needs another top coat, with a nice color---it won't be white when our work is complete!

Now---on to Day Four!

Even though Dh added more carpet and foam from the stairs, and I added from the Grandparents room, in this picture we have already hauled away 3-4 piles to the dumpster.  From now on these piles will be getting smaller as we haul away...and hopefully not add much to it!

Kilz...one of my favorite products!

Today we spent ALL our time up here in Dd's loft.  It had hundreds of staples and lots of carpet stripes to remove---then Dd and I painted all the trim with Kilz

Here is a portion of the treasures Dd has already brought over from the apartment.  She holds her Lego's in her lap for each trip over.

Dd had the genius idea to use a car 'crawler' to work her way along the walls to do her work.  During her many breaks I used it and found it to be so much easier on my body than bending and leaning.

Here is the far side of the loft---Spackle done!  we used another whole tub of Spackle today.

Staples up, Carpet Stripes up, trim down...

Happy worker---she earned a Star Wars figure for all her hard work!

Kilz on the stairs going down, as we call it a day!  We didn't get as much done without Dh here to help.  Plus Dd takes a LOT of breaks during the day!  But, it is progress!  Giz and Grampy arrive tomorrow to help us with the work; and I'm sure Giz will have good food to keep us going!

Dd took pictures of some of the flowers in front of the house:
