Traverse, Manistee, Ludington, and Muskegon, our driving tour from Traverse City to Grand Rapids July 2017

Traverse, Manistee, Ludington, and Muskegon,
our driving tour from Traverse City to Grand Rapids, MI July 2017

We pulled over in Traverse City to take a few pictures of the shore.  We had been around this beach two weeks earlier during the Cherry Festival and it had been so packed.  It was nice to see what the town looked like on a normal July weekend.

Traverse City, like all the shores we saw, had lots of sail boats or other water craft busily enjoying the water and warm weather.  Michigan has a short summer and people seem to make the most of it!

A view of the water in Manistee, MI.  This town reminded Dh and I of a European old city---it had a lot of character and age to it.

We had seen another lighthouse in Traverse, but this one looks more like a 'proper' lighthouse.

It is always fun watching people try new things!

It never did rain, but there is always so much going on in the skies around Lake Michigan.

Too bad I wasn't out on that boat, sailing these waters would be so different than sailing on Laurel Lake!
